Collectors piss me off
filed in Uncategorized on Jan.30, 2003
Collections agencies keep calling looking for someone whom I won’t mention, and then start pumping me for information when I say that he’s not here. They won’t tell me why they’re calling, but they want to know my name? Fuck them.
Oh, and we’re moving back to Kansas in a few weeks.

Are you happy to be moving back, bro?
Keep up with me on livejournal, dammit. Email and phones suck.
I dunno what happened…I kinda thought you guys were all pissed off at me cause I am such an asshole. So we haven’t seen each other in a while…still love ya though =).

NPR has been doing multiple stories on collectors. Damn. Some of those people are heartless bastards.

It’s kind of a shitty story, but to make it short SJVC ended up being a scam, and we’ve decided to give up and accept my parent’s help while we go to school. After a couple years, she’ll be able to get a low-level RN and we’ll move to Seattle where she’ll work at a hospital that will give her tuition reimbursement while we finish our bachelor’s degrees.
You should come hang out with us sometime before we leave. And we’re having a garage sale next saturday if you want to buy some of our stuff. I also still have your Baldur’s Gate 2 CDs.

I think I heard one of them. I’ve been trying to convince a friend of mine to do it, since it sounds like it’s so easy to start.

They weren’t all assholes, but some were harsh.
I heard one about these guys in college who started one and are doing great. It would be easy to start. But I think I’d be too nice for the job. I would feel sorry for the people and put myself into debt.

I will definitely stop by. Garage sale sounds fun hehe.
We are setting up a Linux server at Fresno’s Habitat for Humanity, so I’ve been busy lately hehe. Only 7 weeks left to finish our grad project, heh. Fun. Sucks about SJVC…are they WASC accredited? If they are, National University takes credits from them…Heald credits also don’t transfer to State, but I’ve known that from the get-go, and it doesn’t bother me.

Me too.

What is Habitat doing with the server? I wanted to get involved in Habitat when I lived in Bakersfield, but they never sent me the information packet.

We are setting up Samba on the server, and they have migrated several of their workstations to Red Hat. I’ll have to tell you when I see you this coming Saturday…I can’t think too clearly right now.

When are you coming over?
February 2nd, 2003 on 10:12 pm
When I wake up? Hehe. Got a specific time in mind?
February 3rd, 2003 on 8:52 pm
Well, the garage sale is going to be from 7 to 3. You can come over whenever you want. Call one of our cells to make sure we’re home. I think mine is in my ICQ profile.

Re: need any help
Thanks. We’ll be staying with my parents for a few months, then the plan is to go to KU in the fall. I’ll call you when I get there–should be Wednesday or Thursday.
