I think I smell bad. I vaguely smell old sweat, but I can’t tell if it’s me or the office. Hmmm.

I played some golf with Dad today. I did just as terrible as usual, but in a better way. Even though I’m suddenly hitting great shots, I still can’t get better than double bogey, and often a lot worse.

But like I said, I’m getting better. I can hit every club in my bag pretty well now, I just can’t aim correctly. It’s very frustrating to hit a beautiful high shot that lands just right of the green and bounces off a rock into high grass, never to be seen again. I did that a lot today.

Oh well, I’m sure I’ll improve. I’m surprised I played as well as I did, since it was the first time I’ve been on a course in a month or so. I’ve learned how to hit my fairway woods, I’ve learned how to hit iron off the tee (neither of which I’ve been able to do before), and I’m learning how to relax and get my swing back when things go awry (as they often do).

I shot 62 today (on nine holes), and I think I’m doing fairly well for only eight months (with no instruction and rarely playing or practicing).
